It's COOL to be in SCHOOL!!

Well well...Lyndon State...here we are...another school year has come....Can you believe it???!!! I swear I am still in 2007...so behind on time...What an exciting time of the year though! I love it!

I am beyond thrilled that we have a new group of students here (Go first-year students!) and looking forward to seeing returning students.

So, what's happening? We are in the 2nd week of classes now and the campus officially is alive with students...YEAH!! How's the whole studying thing going? I bet it feels strange (especially for first years) to be back on a college schedule....practice, class, study, class, study, eat, eat, class, eat, talk to buddies, eat, practice, sleep, class, fun, eat, sleep, etc. Is that what it looks like for some of you students? That's what it looked like for me years ago when I was in college. I imagine your days are filled! I hope the year is off to a great start for each one of you!

We had our 2nd frost of the fall (well, technically it is still summer...first day of fall is on the 22nd) last night...insane that we are already getting frosts!! I believe it was 26-27 degrees last night (yikes!!) and then this morning while walking my dog it was around 34-35 degrees...and of course, I had shorts on...brrrrr....I am stuck on summer temps! Need to get the 'ole sweaters and coats out now.

Autumn is awesome though...one of my favorite seasons for sure! The leaves have actually (in some places) have started turning into bright oranges and reds...it's going to be beautiful here very soon! Be sure to enjoy it for some of the students who are new to the area/region...go hiking, biking, swimming (if you are brave), apple picking, kayaking/canoeing, hit the local farmer's market, etc...become a leaf peeper!! (tip: don't drive too slow while looking around at the scenery/ trees though b/c the car behind you will more than likely be a local who will want to keep going...and may/may not be a happy camper)

I am hitting the road for admissions here on Sunday..heading to NH and ME for college fairs and high schools to share with prospective students what LSC is all about...I might be in your area (if you are a soph./jr./sr. in high school) so come see me at a fair or check with your guidance office to see if I am coming to your high school. Also, my amazing colleagues might be in your state so check out our fair schedule on-line on our website....We would all love to meet you!

OK..that's it...so happy to have you all back on campus, students!!
Have a great weekend....it's Family/Alumni Weekend so enjoy yourselves!

I was thinking of applying to LSC, but I have a couple of pressing question first:

1. Does LSC shamelessly promote the promiscuous usage of ellipses and exclamation points evidenced in your blog? This is a serious concern for me.

2. I accidentally the whole thing. What should I do?
