Blonde Dye and Snow

Welcome to the month of March and more SNOW!!! AHHHH! We recently were graciously given 7 MORE inches of snow this past Saturday, March 1st....man, oh man...what a way to start March...this whole winter business is getting a little out of hand. Don't get me wrong, I love winter, but every year on a random day I feel a forceful tug for warmer temps and it just happens to have occured over the weekend. So, maybe it's the fact that some folks are coming back from hot, steamy places they visited over winter break (and bragging about it too!) or the fact that it was -22 last Thursday morning or perhaps that my husky pup is running to go inside because he is even cold (aren't huskies bred to withstand frigid temps!?)!!

Anyhow, I am ready to kick winter to the curb.....And, with that, I have a story...Here I am at Rite-Aid last Saturday afternoon feeling down about the increasing snow footage when I walk down the hair dye aisle...oh wow...hair dye could really change a girl around ya know...I haven't dyed my hair since 10th grade when I thought auburn was a hip color...well, at that time, I was obsessed with Sandra Bullock...Speed had just come out and it looked like a new, interesting color for hair. This trip I wasn't thinking Sandra Bullock I was thinking Sarah Jessica Parker...you know how the new movie, Sex and the City is coming out. Her hair color reminds me of the beach, warm temps, fun, etc.....in a nutshell, it makes me think of summer and how I wish it were summer right now. Get on with the story...I pick up the blonde boxes of dye and think maybe I shouldn't go all-out blonde (that would be too extreme..I don't want to look like some girl that poured bleach on her head..you know the ones), but perhaps a subtle blond to liven up my boring brown. I grab Loreal's version of "medium blonde" and how amazing too is that it's on sale..$5.99!!!...whooppee...I get home with high hopes to get myself through this seasonal slump with a box of blonde dye...and then magically Sunday morning, it will be summer!!

Well, in short, the blonde for some reason didn't really works its intended magic. My brown is a little lighter, but there is no hint of summer....SO, does this mean, we are stuck in winter forever?! I sure hope not!! :)

This is it for me folks....Welcome back students!! It is ever so wonderful to see your shiny faces around campus again!

More later....
